CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Architectural Excellence Special Awards recognize significant achievements by architects, civic leaders, industry professionals, firms, and organizations who contribute to the built environment and the advancement of the profession in the Commonwealth. AIA Pennsylvania is accepting nominations from the AIA Pennsylvania membership for open Special Award categories through 11:59 pm  Friday, June 6, 2025.

AIA Pennsylvania strongly recommends nominators/nominees review the Call for Nominations documentation before starting their nomination(s) for complete details, including eligibility, award descriptions, nomination requirements, and materials required for nominations.

After creating an account, nominators/nominees can preview and save their nominations to log back in at any time to complete the submission before the submission cutoff date.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT 

If you participated in the Architectural Excellence Design, COTE, or Special Awards (2020 - 2024), the account you created is still on file and retains your previous submissions/nominations.

If you cannot recall your password, there is a self-service “lost password” feature in the submission/nomination portal.

REPURPOSING PAST NOMINATIONS

Any nominations dating back to 2020 are accessible in the nomination platform to copy over and edit to put forth for 2025. Log in via this link with the applicant account used to previously apply to access and copy over past nominations.

You will be prompted to select the dropdown for a previous cycle of the awards program, hit search, and any previous submission(s) should populate. Then, hit the "Use this application" blue text link, and any fields and uploads from past submissions will be auto-populated into a new submission for entry in 2025's program. Please verify current eligibility with your nomination.

MANAGING MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS

Log in with an existing account or create one to start or complete a nomination. Depending on whether you have started a nomination or would like to begin a new one, you will see options linked in blue copy in the body of the page to either review past submissions or begin a new submission. If you are logged in and working on a nomination, you can save it and re-visit the 2025 program page for the option to begin a new submission/nomination.

RECIPIENT NOTIFICATION & CELEBRATION

All 2025 Special Award recipients will be notified by late-July. The Special Awards will be celebrated with the 2025 Architectural Excellence Awards Broadcast and Viewing Parties set for Thursday, December 4, 2025.
